Starr BRM-100 manual Brix Refractometer is perfect for quickly determining the sugar level or Total Dissolved Solids % in an aqueous sample.
Most commonly used for fruit ripeness determination in the field, at the market or at the store. It is also suitable for monitoring concentration levels of juices, condiments and industrial fluids such as cutting lubricants, soluble tempering oils, emulsifications and washing detergent powders.
Simply pipette a small amount of sample (2~3 drops) onto the daylight plate and close the cover flap. Hold the refractometer towards a light source and look through the eye piece. A defined line will indicate the Brix % on the fixed scale.
