The CTR-1000i Coating thickness gauge from Starr Instruments is designed for users looking for a gauge that can measure the coatings on ferrous or non ferrous metals.
Common uses include in the automotive industry where the coating thickness of paints can be measured. Other uses include measuring of thickness of galvanisation and measuring powder coating thickness on items such as furniture.
The reason for measuring thickness is for maintaining quality. If a coating is too thick then extra money is spent on the coating and other issues can be created such as cracking. If a coating is too thin then it is not providing the protection it is supposed to be providing and can leave the product exposed to the possibility of damage.
The CTR-1000i has an integrated probe making the unit easy to use with one hand and uses Bluetooth to automatically record your results on the computer as you are testing. The backlit LCD screen also displays the result, the minimum, maximum and average results.
Included are a set of reference films and a Fe and NFe substrate for zero calibration. For any further assistance please contact us.
